Learn MoreHighland cattle are one of the oldest and hardiest breeds in the world. Their thick double coats let them thrive in harsh winters without expensive housing, and their gentle temperament makes them a pleasure to work with. Angora goats are raised primarily for mohair, a strong, lustrous, and soft textile fiber shorn from their coats. Fine mohair is spun into yarn to make sweaters, suits, socks, scarves, and winter accessories. Coarser mohair grades are used to weave durable rugs, carpets, and heavy upholstery or throws.
At Front Forty Farm, we select for animals that are structurally sound, easy to work with, and built to last.
